Torus UV mapping, fun ;)

This week at uni I thought it would be fun to uv map a simple torus, oh how I was wrong haha. i spent the better half of an hour messing about with different ways of trying to wrap this shape. By some miracle I manage to find a way to flatten the torus into a perfect rectangle. I then just applied an image to the uv map. It was a dbz comic strip. I then applied the map and gave it some glossiness and added a reflection. I add a plane underneath and added a sand texture to it, to make it look like the object wasn’t floating, I then added a dramatic free light. (P.s You’re lucky I’m posting, Friday night rugby calls me šŸ˜‰ )
